A WORD FROM OUR TREASURER

Hello! This is a brief overview of the finances of the Pajamas and Coffee group of Alcoholics Anonymous: how voluntary contributions to the are made and disbursed, and how records are kept and made available to members.

There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership, but our 7th Tradition states: “Every AA group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.” For additional information, follow this link to the GSO publication: "Finance Guidelines"

By our group conscience, your contributions go to pay for our group’s Zoom subscription and after a $50 “prudent reserve” are distributed each month to help carry the message to the still suffering alcoholic: 50% to Greater Pittsburgh Intergroup of AA, 30% to A.A. General Service Office, and 10% each to AA Area 60 Representing Western Pennsylvania and the Online Intergroup of AA.

Since we’re an online group, most of our contributions are made via our “Virtual Basket”. When we record Venmo contributions for the group record, the donor’s name is removed to preserve the anonymity of your contribution.

You can also contribute via check or money order. Email me at pjandctreasurer@gmail.com for details.

Receipts for all of our transactions are available to view in the Treasurer’s Ledger and Records, which is presented at our monthly group conscience meeting. I can also provide links to this information upon request.
