SECRETARY'S CORNER

Pajamas and Coffee meets every day at 7:00 AM, including holidays. Our meetings are an open discussion format except the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month are open speaker meetings. On the 1st Monday of every month we discuss one of the AA traditions, all other Mondays we discuss one of the AA steps. Wednesdays we have a beginner’s meeting focused on topics for newcomers and Fridays we discuss a chapter from the book “Living Sober”.

In honor of our 7th tradition, we are self-supporting through our own contributions. Because we only meet online, you can make a contribution using our "Virtual Basket" on this page. More information about how your contributions help to carry the message to the alcoholic who still suffers can be found on our Treasurer's page.

Our program follows the suggestions laid out in the book Alcoholics Anonymous, commonly referred to as “The Big Book”, which we recommend that you read. If you need a copy, or are interested in any other A.A. literature, check out our Literature page.

Selecting a home group is an important part of making relationships, building a support structure, and being of service to help carry the message to the alcoholic who still suffers. Information about how to join us is posted in the chat during the meeting.

Sponsorship is an integral part of our program. Navigating this in an online setting can be challenging both for people seeking a sponsor as well as for people willing to take on a sponsee. Staying for our after-meeting is the best way to make connections as many of the security protocols in place to help keep our meetings safe are relaxed and you can communicate in a more free and open manner. You can find more information about how sponsorship works in A.A. by reading the pamphlet Questions and Answers on Sponsorship.

“Helping others is the foundation stone of your recovery.” – Pg 97 Alcoholics Anonymous

Being of service can be as simple as taking a reading at the beginning of the meeting. If you want to be of service by reading, please join our next meeting about 10 minutes early, when we usually give out those service assignments. You can find the text for these readings here.

If you are required to provide proof of your attendance (e.g. court, work, treatment, ect.), directions for obtaining that verification are posted in the chat with the announcements.
